- Andrew Thorne Review added: 2018.09.20★ ★ ★ ★ ★A clean, quiet and welcoming campsite with all of the basic facilities you need: Electric hook up, shower, toilet and so on. Everything was clean and well looked after. It is surrounded by hills in the distance but the site itself is perfectly flat. Ideal for tents, camper vans or touring caravans.
The field is big so you can be sure of finding a place that isn't right on top of the next campers. The proprietor was happy to offer advice about nearby places of interest.
This is a perfect place to use as a base for touring either in a car, on the train or on a bicycle. The town of Llanidloes, 8 miles away, is pretty and has all of the facilities you may need. Caersws, 1 mile, has a garage and a few shops.
The site doesn't offer seasonal pitches so you won't be camping amongst hordes of empty caravans - a refreshing change.
